In the summer of 2024, I interned with Dr. Katherine Williams, a leading child psychiatrist at Rady Children’s Hospital. During this summer, I co-authored an article published in Psychology Today analyzing the impacts of AI-driven social media algorithms on child and adolescent development. I trained in test administration and data collection for clinical trials on mental health outcomes in older foster youth during the development of a novel pediatric psychiatry program. This experience allowed me to combine my passions for research, mental health and clear, impactful communication — skills I apply in strategic communications to translate complex information into messaging that informs and engages audiences.
